Mumbai: Indian equity markets staged an impressive comeback on account of value-buying spree.
The markets opened the Thursday’s session on a positive note with key benchmark indices extending intra-day gains. Sustained buying in the trade on Thursday trade provided cushion to the indices that eventually led to both the Sensex and Nifty wrapping up the session with gains of over 1%.
The 30-share Sensex surged 352.03 points, or 1.08%, to close at 32949.21, its biggest single-day gain since November 1, when it had surged 387.14 points,.
