Akshay Kumar is picking some unique and interesting subjects of late. Among the ones he has already signed is, Reema Kagti’s Gold. The sports based drama is a biopic on the life of Balbir Singh ­­— the celebrated hockey player who helped India win three consecutive gold medals in the 1948, 1952 and 1956 Olympics.
He is also working with off-beat (read not top commercia) actresses. After Airlift with Nimrat Kaur, Taapsee Pannu in Baby and now Padman with Radhika Apte, he might pair up with Swara Bhaskar.
