‘Kamdar Union’ to showcase workers’ plight

The Hindi film, being shot in Ahmedabad talks about issues faced by factory workers

Showcasing the plight of a worker who works in miserable conditions at a factory is Hindi film Kamdar Union directed by Canada-based Sanjay Patel. Making his full-length feature filmmaking debut with this movie, Patel’s short films have earned several accolades at film festivals.
Kamdar Union traces the journey of a worker at a factory that manufactures products, which could be harmful to people, and how all employees take a stand and demand a better working environment.
The film is being shot in Ahmedabad and different parts of Gujarat. Actor Rahul Bhat, who last appeared in Anurag Kashyap’s Ugly, plays the titular role in Kamdar Union. Ugly received acclaim at thge Cannes Film Festival. The female protagonist Tillotama Shom
