Script comes first
Belani, who made her tv debut as female lead in Doordarshan show ‘Laaga Chunri Mai Daag’,shared about her criteria before accepting a movie. “To me what matters the most is the script. The costumes, the banner, filmmaker and even money is something I discuss only after I listen to the script”, she said. Telling us about her experience of  working in Gujarati movie ‘Polam Pol’, she said, “ I was shooting for two Bollywood movies prior to ‘Polam Pol’. When I heard the script of the movie there was no question of me rejecting it. I loved the  script and for me language is never a parameter  I consider while signing a movie!”
Bollywood dreams
Spilling the beans on her Bollywood projects, the pretty actor said, “My first Bollywood movie is Sanjay Chhel’s ‘Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi’. It has established actors like Vir Das, Paresh Rawal, Rishi Kapoor. “Ek gaai jevi chokri no role karu chhu movie maa!” She futher added, “The second film’s working title is ‘The Confessions’, and scriptwriter Vipul Rawal will make his debut as a director with this film. It is a thriller and tells the story of four friends. and I play a college student in it. Both the films are set to release this year.”
Only talent matters!
Belani who doesn’t follow any body stereotypes associated with heroines said, “I don’t believe that a heroine should have a specific type of figure. Sonakshi Sinha has succeeded in breaking such stereotypes. What matters is talent everything else is secondary.”
