GTU gets relief as HC stays order on mass copying

A first division bench of the state high court has stayed the single bench order that had concluded that mass copying can be a coincidence. It had granted interim relief to the students who had approached the high court from the effect of debarring and withdrawing the provisional diploma certificate.
The Gujarat Technological University (GTU) had challenged the single bench order before the division bench. Its contention was that it is a clear case of mass copying and there is an error in the conclusion of the single bench to consider that it just a coincidence and not mass copying. Its prayer was to quash and set aside the single bench order and restore the order of GTU debarring of the students.
