Police book 31 more for spreading hate

Ahmedabad Rural Police on Wednesday nabbed 12 accused involved in spreading rumours about migrants on social media and attacking them. In two different cases, police have booked a total of 31 people, and are still carrying out an investigation.
As per police, one of the cases was lodged with the Bagodara police against six accused of spreading hate messages against migrants on a WhatsApp group. The admins of the group and the person who posted the message were booked. During the investigation, it was revealed that a message was sent from a WhatsApp group named 'Jai Jagannatha' where one the accused wrote, "If we kick out the migrants working in Dholi village GIDC, around 1,000 of Gujaratis will get a job".
