AIIMS gives 2020 surgery date to 1-yr-old suffering from heart aliment

Ananya Yadav, a year-old infant from Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh, suffering from Pulmonary atresia, a congenital heart defect by birth, has been given a 2020 date for her surgery by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. Her father has now written to the Prime Minister asking for help as he is unable to pay for the treatment.
Ananya was born with the defect due to which her pulmonary valve, which is an opening on the right side of the heart that regulated blood flow from the right ventricle to the lungs, did not form properly leading to pulmonary atresia.
