DUSU polls held amid tight security

The Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) polls were conducted amid tight security on Tuesday, which recorded a voter turnout of 45.3 in the morning shift. The polling percentage of the evening shift was yet to be declared when this report was filed.
According to the DUSU election committee, a large number of students turned out to vote since in the first half in around 40-morning colleges, polling for which ended at 2 pm. Voting in the evening colleges began at 3 pm and went on till 7:30 pm. “As per the information collected from various colleges, voter turnout was good in both the phases,” said Chief Election Officer S B Babbar.
