NSUI to move High Court over Joint Secretary post

NSUI’s Rocky Tusheed won the presidential post by a margin of 1,590 votes defeating ABVP’s Rajat Choudhary. Tusheed’s candidature remained under a cloud until last Wednesday after his name was omitted from the final list issued by the University’s Election Commission citing some disciplinary action against him.
The NSUI, however, claimed that the results of Joint Secretary post was “unconstitutional” and claimed that their candidate Avinash Yadav had actually won the post. Scores of NSUI supporters staged a protest outside the University’s election commissioner’s office demanding recounting of votes for the post.
