1.26 lakh girls to get 'Gargi' for academic excellence

Jaipur: For the first time in the state, one lakh 26 thousand 411 schoolgirls will get the Gargi award.
This is the first time when more than 1.26 lakhs girl students will be rewarded with the Gargi Award. Gargi award is given to students who have obtained 75 percent marks and above in board examination of the 10th and 12th grade.
Minister of State for Education Vasudev Devnani said that the talented one lakh 26 thousand 411 girl students of the state will be given the Gargi award on January 22. These students will be given Rs 48.70 crore as an award.
