UDAN to boost air network in Raj, expand Pink City's flight itinerary

A Regional Connectivity Scheme agreement is signed between state government & Centre

Several cities of Rajasthan would soon get air connectivity directly to other states under the Regional Connectivity Scheme agreement signed between the state government and the central government on Monday. With this, the UDAN scheme would allow air between Jaipur-Jaisalmer-Jaipur, Delhi-Bikaner-Delhi and Jaipur-Agra-Jaipur routes.
In a meeting held between civil aviation minister Jayant Sinha, minister of state for civil aviation Pawan Kumar Goyal, Kesari Singh, director of civil Aviation among others, a decision to connect airlines operators under the scheme was taken.
At present, Jaipur is connected directly to Jodhpur and Udaipur by private air operators and other destinations including Bikaner and Jaisalmer are pending
