Jaipur: Centuries ago Jawahar Singh, king of the small erstwhile Bharatpur kingdom, had challenged none other than the Mughal sultanate and laid siege on Delhi.
The king had brought back a heavy door that still adorns the Bharatpur Fort and is called ‘Dilli Darwaza’.
In times of democracy, kingdoms no longer exist, but the fearless, rebellious streak apparently continues among the descendants of the Bharatpur dynasty.
