19K applicants queue up for Class IV jobs in Raj

Jaipur: There is a mad scramble for jobs at the Rajasthan state assembly. A dozen jobs for class four positions have been announced by the assembly administration and over 19,000 had applied for the same. The maximum education qualification for this job profile is completed Class 8, but around 18,000 applicants, who have been shortlisted for the interview are graduates and post graduates. A telling statement indeed on the craze for government jobs.
Around 1,500 applicants have been called for interview per post. The assembly staff has made elaborate arrangements to accommodate these applicants. The interviews will be held in three different rooms over two shifts. The shifts will be from 9.30 am to 1.00 pm and from 2.00 pm to 5.30 pm
