In Sonia Gandhi's absence, Congress remembers Shastri at national convention

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi attacked the government over the demonetization move.

The national convention of the Congress Party organised in Delhi on Wednesday in the wake of demonetization was not without significance. First, a major function was organised in the absence of the Congress President Sonia Gandhi and second, Congress chose the death anniversary of late Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri for the convention.
Only Indira Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri’s photographs were put on the dais.
