Corporator rats on hospital at civic body meet

There was a ruckus during the general body meeting of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday over the poor condition of civic hospitals. Kamlesh Yadav, a Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) corporator from Kandivli brought a rat with him during the general body meeting of the BMC to drive home the point. He claimed that he had caught the rat from a Kandivli hospital where two women patients were bitten by rats.
In the last one week, two women, including a paralysis patient, admitted to the BMC-run Babasaheb Ambedkar Municipal General Hospital in Kandivli, also known as Shatabdi Hospital, were bitten by rats.
