Lokayukta dissatisfied with inaction in 642 cases

Competent authorities in the state have not taken satisfactory action or ignored 642 orders in the last three years which Lokayukta had recommended. Though recommendatory, competent authorities are expected to act on the orders. The office of the Lokayukta, in an RTI reply, stated that they have written to the Governor informing him of no satisfactory action taken by competent authority in those cases.
The information was provided to applicant Jeetendra Ghadge, who, in his application to the Lokayukta office had sought details from January 2015 onwards for both Lokayukta and Upa Lokayukta office.
