Resident docs defer strike till August 31

After the state government assured the resident doctors to look into their demands, their association deferred a day’s strike on August 8.
On Wednesday late night, the Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors (MARD) had a meeting with the Directorate of Medical Education (DMER) Director, Dr TP Lahane, and other officials after the government threatened to impose the Maharashtra Essential Services Maintenance Act (MESMA) Act on the resident doctors.
