This is why trains on CR were disrupted

Services between Kalyan & Kasara were affected due to derailment of an inspection van at Umbermali on Thursday

Train services were affected on Central Railways (CR) between Kalyan and Kasara due to derailment of a rail inspection van at Umbermali on Thursday night. Following this commuters protested at Vasind station with rail roko and by holding up a mail train.
Also along with this, harbour line services were disrupted for around 35 minutes due to the engine of a goods train getting stuck at Kurla while it was headed to Trombay. However, cause of the engine getting stuck is not known yet but it was moved ahead by pushing.
This further led to services on harbour line running late by around 10-15 minutes on Friday evening for around one hour.
