BMC logs 76% rise in pothole plaints

Mumbai: The Chief Minister may say that the number of potholes in the city has decreased in last few years, but the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) reports a sudden jump in complaints about road craters.
In the last one week, the civic body has received 362 complaints from across the city, a jump of 76 per cent after the spell last week.
The civic body was patting itself on the back for completing road work in time for the monsoons, however the ditches and trenches developing on city highways and internal roads after just a few spells of rain reveal the quality of work.
