School bus mishap: Boy succumbs to injuries

Three days after a road accident left nearly 20 school children seriously injured, a 14-year-old boy has succumbed to his injuries. The accident took place on September 9 near Navapura Patiya, 5 km from Sarkhej in Ahmedabad, when a school bus ferrying children to Divyapath school in Memnagar crashed into a truck.
Three students and the driver sustained grave injuries, and the others were also wounded.
All the injured were rushed to Sola civil hospital. Some 13 of them, with serious head injuries, were shifted to Zydus hospital.
Despite a series of surgeries, Manav Prajapati, 14, who was in the front seat of the bus, was declared dead at 1 am on Tuesday.
