Zubin bags 2 golds, 1 silver

Participating in the 400m race, the sprinter clocked 50.30s to finish on top of the podium

Zubin Muncherji continued his golden run even outside the country. The Ahmedabad-born runner representing the Singapore Schools Sports Council won two golds and one silver medal at the U-15 19th WALA (Western Australia Little Athletics) in track and field at Kuala Lumpur Malaysia last week.
Participating in the 400m sprint race, Zubin clocked 50.30s to finish on top of the podium. The 15-year-old then followed it up with another gold in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:28.73s. Jonathan Wong Shern Yang, Quek Jun Jie Calvin and Mohammad Shahizam Bin Rashid were his partners in the baton competition.
Moreover, Zubin’s 200m-run in 23.06s earned him a silver behind Malaysia’s Muhamad Aqmal Safuan Bin Hasan (22.78s).
Earlier, Zubin had pocketed a gold and bronze at the SEA at Jakarta and ASEAN at Singapore respectively. Moreover, he was also adjudged the best performer of the event and presented with a trophy.
