City team take on Pailan Arrows today

Mumbai FC’s recent win against Shillong Lajong FC might have brought some relief for the team, but they still have to come out with their best show against Pailan Arrows to avoid relegation. The Mumbai side will take on Arrows at the Shiv Chhatrapati sports complex in Balewadi on Tuesday. Mumbai FC, placed 11th with 20 points in the kitty, are just three points above Chirag United, Kerala. On the other hand, Arrows, being an All India Football Federation (AIFF) team, will not be relegated according to the norms of the AIFF. Therefore, they have nothing to lose and now are placed at 13th with eight points. However, they will be looking for their first win of the season. The win here would make Mumbai FC safe as they will be six points ahead of Kerala, who will be facing Salgaocar SC on April 29. “It’s a tough task for us, but looking at the way they (Pailan Arrows) are doing in this edition, we will have to come out with the best resources we have,” said Henry Picardo, Mumbai FC manager. Pailan coach Sujit Chakraborty is aware of the challenge ahead. “The match is a tough one for us. They performed well during the earlier stages but slipped a bit later.
