community members from satellite city say they are happy with the decision

Constant prayers were being offered by members of the Bohra community across the satellite city after their leader Dr Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin suffered a stroke last week. Although the leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community is doing much better now, but prayers for his good health still continue. The spiritual head has appointed his second son Syedi Mufaddal Bhaisaheb Saifuddin, as his successor and most of the members from the community are extremely happy about this decision.
Abid Nagaria, the trustee of Anjuman-E-Fakhri, Dawoodi Bohra Community in Vashi, says, "On Saturday evening while we were having a community gathering in Vashi itself, we got an email which said that Dr Syedna had suffered a mild stroke. However, the mail also mentioned that his health was fine now and that there was no need to worry. But we could not hold ourselves and we immediately started praying for our leader to recover soon. We even distributed food grains to the needy and poor people of the society." When asked if the community is happy about his second son, Syedi Mufaddal Bhaisaheb Saifuddin being appointed as his successor, Nagaria says, "Mufaddal Bhaisaheb has been groomed by Dr Syedna so well that we are confident that he would be a very good leader. Besides, he has memorised the entire Quran and is the rector of the community's 200-year-old institution Jamea-tus-Saifiah. We are definitely very happy with this decision that our leader has taken. By Sunday morning, we were informed about whom his successor would be and now we are surely looking forward to Mufaddal Bhaisaheb's leadership."
Vashi resident Fakhruddin Faquih, a member of the community says that he is happy that Dr Syedna is in a much stable condition now. "Our leader could have chosen his successor at any time. We are happy that he chose Mufaddal Bhaisaheb as his successor as he is a very competent person. However, we will still continue to pray for our leader long life and we hope he gets perfectly alright soon."
Vashi resident Shabbir Bhaturawala says that he was really sad on hearing that Dr Syedna had suffered a stroke. "I was very worried on hearing about Dr Syedna's ill-health and soon began praying for his quick recovery. Nevertheless, I am happy that he appointed his son Mufaddal Bhaisaheb as his successor. This is one of the best decisions mainly because Dr Syedna has groomed Mufaddal so well that he would really prove to be a very good leader." Recently, the community had celebrated their leaders 100th birthday by distributing free bird feeders from the community centre in Vashi. This project of theirs which was named as 'Save Our Sparrows (SOS)' had a lot of families from all over the satellite city participating in this activity.
