‘Dossa paid cop to travel with woman on train’

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has told the Special TADA court that the deceased 1993 blast convict Mustafa Dossa had paid Rs 25,000 to Assistant Police Inspector (API) Ayaz Patel for allowing one Shabina Khatri to accompany him in a train travel from Mumbai to Porbandar, while eight policemen left them alone in the compartment and guarded them from outside. The said facts were brought before the court by CBI Special Prosecutor Deepak Salvi on Wednesday while reading out an inquiry report filed by the police.
