Though Ek Tha Gadha Urf Aladad Khan, a masterpiece of writer Sharad Joshi, has been staged several times in the city, it continues to be a favoruite for its timeless humor and convincing satire.
Staged at JKK on Monday as a part of theatre festival Jairangam, the play performed by People Media theatre group, was a rib-tickling experience for Jaipurites.
The plot weaved around an imaginary town having an incompetent ruler who announces a day off when he  learns that someone by the name of Aladad Khan has expired. The entire town is confused as nobody knew Aladad Khan exactly, though they did get a day off mourning his death.
