Airoli gets a new skating track
City's skaters need not wait for a professional skating track any more. Euro School, Airoli, recently inaugurated their skating track.
Navi Mumbai District (DSO) Roller Skating Championship-2012 was held after the inaugural ceremony. The meet saw 264 skaters representing 24 schools.
Atul Parekh, chairman, Skating Association of Maharashtra and Ashmi Parekh, founder member, Skating Association of Maharashtra and vice-president, Confederation of Asian Roller Sports, attended the inauguration ceremony. "Till now skaters had to do with basketball and tennis courts. Not only state-level but also national-level championship can be held on this track," Sanjay Singh, secretary of Skating Association of Navi Mumbai, said.
