CVC denies getting CBI’s closure report on Yadavs

Submitted it in 2013, investigating body told top court

New Delhi: Two months after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) told Supreme Court that a closure report in the disproportionate assets case against Mulayam Singh Yadav and his two sons was submitted to the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) in 2013, the latter has denied knowledge of any such report.
The latest revelation, via an RTI application, is another twist in the roller coaster case involving the Samajwadi chief and his sons Akhilesh and Prateek. Acting on a petition by Congress activist and lawyer Vishwanath Chaturvedi, the Supreme Court had ordered CBI to probe allegations of disproportionate assets allegedly acquired by Mulayam and his kin.
