End of the road: Entrepreneur-turned-writer thinks B'lore is heading towards a catastrophe

Bangalore: Is Bangalore dying? It may sound portentous, clichéd, and steeped in rhetoric, but an entrepreneur-turned writer certainly thinks the city is. Sanjay Koppikar, who shuttles between continents, has written a book where he uses the death of the protagonist's father as a metaphor to drive home his doomsday point. The novel is prophetically titled Bangalored.
It was the spectre of an impending doom that pushed Koppikar into penning the novel. Some years ago, here in Bangalore, he bumped into a German researcher, who was working as an advisor to the Karnataka government on water issues. The researcher put the fear of God in him. Not literally, but Koppikar realised that the city was living way beyond sustainable means. And
