Indo-Japan ties blossomed after Modi and Abe's meeting in 2012

The seed of friendly relations was sown in April 2007, when PM Modi met Japan PM Shinzo Abe in Tokyo. The same bonhomie will be seen blossoming further on Wednesday. PM Modi then had held discussions over the Delhi-Mumbai industrial dedicated freight corridor project. Modi had also showcased tourism sites related to Buddhism in Gujarat and had also invited Abe to Gujarat. Almost a decade later, Abe is arriving to Modi's home land, Gujarat, on September 13 and 14 keeping the promise he gave to Modi back then. Later in 2012, when PM Narendra Modi, the then CM of Gujarat, met Shinzo Abe during his second Japan visit of four days.
