The Criminal Amendment Act of 2013 brought along a catena of changes to erstwhile laws on harassment, increased penalties and recognised a broader range of sexual crimes than before.
What constitutes sexual harassment?
l Physical contact and unwelcome advances such as groping, demands for sexual favours, and stalking.
l Showing you pornography against your will.
l Making sexually coloured statements or remarks about, for instance, your appearance, relationships or personality.
l Capturing you in a
private act against your will and/or circulating it in public.
