Man gives `30K for change, gets duped

An unidentified man has been booked for cheating a 28-year-old salesman of a ceramic showroom in South Mumbai by fleeing away with Rs30,000 cash under the pretext of giving change and new notes of Rs10.
The complainant identified as Saad Khalifa (28), a resident of Mazgaon has alleged that the unknown accused first came on a black bike near the showroom in Kamathipura and assured that if he was given old notes of higher denomination, he would not just give change of the same but also in new currency notes of Rs10.
Khalifa, who lodged a complaint last week at Sir JJ Marg police station, works as a salesman at ‘Bellacasa Ceramica’ showroom for last two years.
