New Delhi: On the closing day of its two-day national convention, the Bharatiya Janata Party gave a clarion call to the nation to vote for a ‘mazboot sarkar’ (strong government) and reject efforts to bring in a ‘majboor sarkar’ (helpless government).
An estimated 12,000 party members, who had come to Delhi from across the country to attended the national convention at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan, returned to their respective states with the poll slogan ‘Abki baar fir Modi sarkar’.
In his over 80-minute-long valedictory address on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sounded the poll bugle, stating that “anarchic political parties” have desperately come together and trying to defeat him.
