Oppn leaders get a taste of Rahul’s iftar ‘menu’

Hosting the first iftar gathering after he took over as the president of the Congress party, Rahul Gandhi played a host to politicians from across the Opposition spectrum, diplomats, and eminent personalities as well as leaders from his own party. The gathering was not attended by UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, who was in the United States at the moment for her health check-ups. The gathering had also gained a lot of eyeballs for being a platform for Opposition unity. Most parties had sent their representatives, even though prominent Opposition faces were missing.
