Pawar in talks with Patil to recontest from Madha seat

Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar has personally launched an exercise to woo sitting MP and former deputy chief minister Vijaysinh Mohite-Patil to recontest from Madha constituency. However, Mohite-Patil is insisting that his son and former MP Ranjitsinh Mohite Patil should be nominated instead.
Pawar’s move comes close on the heels of his decision not to contest from Madha paving way for his grandson Parth Pawar to fight ensuing poll from Maval seat.
As Mohite Patil has not yet given his consent to recontest from Madha seat, NCP decided to postpone the announcement of nominee in the first list of candidates announced today.
