Set designer Chhel Vayeda passes away

The theatre fraternity on Thursday lost veteran set designer Chhel-Vayeda of the (Chhel-Paresh duo). He passed away at the age of 79 at his residence in Mumbai. Gujarat’s theatre fraternity mourned the death of Vayeda.
“I met him during my play ‘Aathma tara nu akash, back in 2004-05. I recall how he appreciated the set design. It was an honour to hear him compliment me.When I
launched a book based on my play ‘welcome zindagi’, he had designed the event. Unfortunately, we never worked together,”said Saumya Joshi, playwright.
