Shah seeks RSS help to prop BJP in WB

On day three of his visit to West Bengal, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah reportedly met leaders of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Wednesday and sought their help in strengthening the party organisation in the state. Sources said that Shah was not happy with the progress in terms of formation of booth level committees in the state.
“He sought the help of trained forces of the RSS for BJP’s expansion. He said both the BJP and the Sangh were on equal footing as far as issues like Muslim appeasement in Bengal, communal tension, and rise of fundamentalism were concerned,” said a source within the RSS.
