Suchitra’s Dum Tara to be recreated

Remixes of movie songs are being released with much alacrity these days but music lovers can now look forward to the recreation of an Indipop song. Remember the disco-pop track of the ’90s, Dum Tara rendered by Suchitra Krishnamoorthi? It’s all set to be reinterpreted by the actress-singer-author herself and released soon. Suchitra tells us, “RJ Anushka got in touch with me on Instagram and said Dum Tara is her most favourite track ever. And she asked me if I would be keen on doing a version of it. I said yes.” Then a record label came in place and the fresh take on the song was recorded. “It’s interesting because this will probably be first non-film number to be remade.
