Remember Hyderabad-based Siddharth Mandala, who devised the anti-rape footwear? He’s back - with a software that detects skin cancer in its early stages. Their sheer curiosity in image recognition and its potential drew Mandala and his friend Praneet Shah toward research.
The 18-year-olds then worked on the software under the guidance of Dr AS Kumar - a dermatologist at Hyderabad’s Apollo Hospital - who helped with building the machine.
