Vaghela rules himself out of race for CM post

Ahmedabad: Congress leader and leader of opposition in Gujarat Assembly Shankersinh Vaghela on Monday said he was 'not in the race for the post of CM and his foremost focus is his party's victory in the Assembly elections, likely to be held later this year. His declaration has put an end to speculations about the Vaghela-Solanki behind-the-scene tug-of-war for the CM post.
"Take it out of your mind that Bapu (Vaghela) is in the race for Chief Minister's post... It is a matter to be considered after we get the majority. I withdraw myself from the race," he said at a party event organised here to kick-start the preparation for upcoming elections.
