BCCI officials want a lawyer to counter COA

New Delhi: Come July 14 and one should not be surprised to see two BCCI senior counsels fighting it out among themselves in the Supreme Court.
Going by the resolution passed by entire BCCI representatives assembled on Tuesday for special general meeting (SGM), the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (COA) has been asked to hire a lawyer to present their side of the story from next court hearing onwards.
DNA has reported on how three eligible BCCI office-bearers — CK Khanna, Amitabh Chaudhary and Aniruddh Chaudhary — flouted all the SC directions by allowing not just “ineligible or dismissed” state representatives inside the meeting room but also discussed matters not part of the original SGM agenda.
