‘Universe Boss’ Gayle’s entertainment is alive and kicking

Mumbai: It took four innings into this IPL-10 for ‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle to complete 10,000 runs in Twenty20 and be the first to do so. The cricketing world, and even some of the legends who have graced the game, waited with bated breath for the 63 runs that the 37-year-old Jamaican needed at the start of this year’s Indian Premier League to get to that landmark.
It was just a matter of time when the T20 milestones would be made. And, to get to 10k runs in the format that is less than 13 years old is as humongous as the personality that Chris Gayle is.
