Arun’s decks cleared after consultant role for Zaheer

Mumbai: India’s new head coach Ravi Shastri seems to have convinced the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) on the need to have a full-time bowling coach of his choice with the Indian team.
This has cleared the way for having his preferred candidate and good friend from his playing days, Bharat Arun, as India’s bowling coach.
Arun was the bowling coach during Shastri’s first stint with the Indian team as the Team Director from September 2014 till end of the ICC World T20 in March-April 2016.
Shastri was appointed as the head coach on Tuesday with Rahul Dravid as batting consultant for overseas tours and Zaheer Khan as bowling consultant.
