Rahim aces 215-run chase as B’desh stun SL

Mumbai: Mushfiqur Rahim played one of the best innings of his life to guide Bangladesh to an upset five-wicket win over Sri Lanka in the T20 tri-series in Colombo on Saturday.
The diminutive wicketkeeper smashed an unbeaten 72 off just 35 balls coming in at No. 4 to ace a mammoth run chase of 215.
Rahim stayed right till the end even as he lost wickets at the other end. With nine needed off the final over, Rahim struck 2, 4, 2 and then sealed the deal with a single to script an incredible victory for Bangladesh.
With this result, all three teams in the tri-series -- India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh -- have tasted wins.
Earlier, blazing half-centuries by Kusal Mendis and Kusal Perera powered Sri Lanka to a formidable 214/6.
