Mumbai: The Dawda Cessay-Willis Plaza combo has been effective for Churchill Brothers FC in this I-League season and the duo was again on the scoresheet on Thursday as the home team snuffed out the challenge of Gokulam Kerala FC in a 3-1 win to rise to the second position on the points table.
Marcus Joseph, Kerala’s latest attacking recruit from Trinidad & Tobago, got a goal on his debut to give the visitors an early lead but it was not enough on the day.
