Mumbai: India captain Virat Kohli has revealed that he was exhaused in the middle of his 120-run knock against the West Indies in the second ODI in Port of Spain on Sunday.
In a video posted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Kohli told his teammate Yuzvendra Chahal that he was tired after reaching 65, but knew he had to carry on for the sake of his team.
Kohli went on to score his 42nd ODI century, and ensured India reached a competitive 279/7 that laid the foundation of their win.
“It was important for me to stay at the crease ... Honestly, I was tired when I reached the score of 65, but the situation demanded me to work hard for every run,” Kohli said.
