No evidence of mosque at site
There is no evidence that any pro-Babri group has had continued occupation of the site since 1528. Finch reached Ayodhya roughly 80 years after the demolition of the Ramjanmabhoomi temple. He was among the earliest witnesses to its location. His accounts talk of Brahmins and pilgrims who thronged the site but makes no mention of a mosque or Muslim presence at all.
