‘I will fight till my father gets credit for Kaala’

Chennai: Despite the Madras High Court dismissing Jawahar Nadar’s plea against the release of superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’, the petitioner said he would continue to fight it in the court until the film-makers give credit to his father Thiraviam Nadar, on whose life the film is based on.
S Thiraviam Nadar, known as Gudwala Seth and Kaala Seth in his heydays in Dharavi, was the inspiration behind the character Karikalan played by Rajinikanth in the movie, claims Jawahar.
Though the Madras HC has dismissed the case (seeking Rs 101 crore as damages and credit to be given to his father) for approaching the court at the eleventh hour, the civil suit still exists, Jawahar, a senior journalist based in Mumbai, said.
