‘Monsoon 20 days away from Kerala’

Weathermen predict that Kerala will likely receive the year’s first showers on June 4, marking the official start of the rainy season in the country. This is three days later than the monsoon’s normal onset over the southern state on June 1.
Private weather forecaster Skymet also said that the monsoon will be “below normal” with a long period average of 93 per cent.
“Arrival of monsoon over Andaman and Nicobar Islands will be on May 22, with an error margin of plus/minus two days.
