22-year-old ‘stalker’ held for Insta posts

Mumbai: Thane city police on Tuesday night arrested a 22-year-old, Darsh Satra, for allegedly harassing and stalking a 19-year-old girl through multiple fake Instagram accounts. The accused created over 16 emails accounts and sent more than 400 emails to the victim.
According to police, the spate of emails were sent from June 2016 to May 2017. Initially, a case was registered against unidentified persons, after which the police launched a probe and collected over 400 emails. Thane Police department, along with their cybercell, traced the mails to 21-year-old Ashutosh Gotpal, a resident of Nagpada in Mumbai and arrested him on June 18.
