3 killed in Marina stampede before Titan’s final journey

Hundreds of thousands of grieving people descended on Chennai on Wednesday to bid a final farewell to DMK president and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi who died on the previous evening at the age of 94.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the nation in paying tributes to the crusader for social justice, who was laid to rest with full state honours, next to the memorial of his mentor and DMK founder CN Annadurai, at Chennai’s iconic Marina Beach.
